Miracle of miracles...
I got some Christmas cash and Best Buy gift cards over the holidays. My goal? Save up for the Xbox 360.
It turns out I had enough to get one. The next challenge was actually finding it. I asked a Best Buy dude Tuesday when they'd get them in, and he tells me that very night.
After only four hours of sleep (due to covering an overnight story), I was at the store when it opened Wednesday morning. What do my drowsy eyes see? A stack of them sitting in the floor just waiting for me to get one.
So I did... and it is glorious! I've only got one game so far ("Condemned") because nothing else really suits me. I played it tonight for the first time, and I am hooked.
I've also got to get up for work in five hours, so adios! Viva la 360!

You didn't check out Call of Duty 2? That game's boss.
I'm waiting for PS 3.
You're gonna be a dad...Huh huh huh.
Enjoy the 360.
Later dude.
I hate you so much right now! Ive had mine on reserve for 4 F'n months and I still can't get it. DAMMIT!! Enjoy homey.
I've got Call of Duty 2 on another platform, and I love it! I just wanted to try out something different this time. I know I'll pick it up soon.
I wouldn't mind getting my hands on a PS3, either. That one will definitely have to wait a while, even after it comes out.
Sorry, EJ. Didn't mean to gloat. Maybe we can still hook up and play online soon. I just wish NCAA Football 2006 was on the backward compatible list. Maybe soon...
poor mrs. parker, joining the ranks of us video game widows ;)
Viva la 360, indeed.
Cheers,
